Since 1384

Heritage

The estate has belonged to the same family since 1384, first under the Barbey name. The caveau sits in the village of Chexbres, while the 3 hectares of vines are spread across the terraced slopes of Saint-Saphorin, in the heart of Lavaux.

Today

Christophe Francey has run the estate since 2001. From vineyard work to vinification, every step is handled on site with a small team.

Visitors are welcome year-round to discover the wines and the estate.

Lavaux & Terroir

The Lavaux vineyard terraces are a UNESCO World Heritage site. The vines benefit from a microclimate shaped by what locals call the three suns: direct sunlight, its reflection off Lake Geneva, and the warmth stored in the stone terrace walls. This is what defines the character of our Saint-Saphorin wines.

Wine tourism

Our wines are born from the unique combination of sun, lake, and stone that makes Lavaux unlike any other place on earth.
